Just before Christmas, the FSA published its first consultation paper (CP160) on the approach it intends to adopt when regulating the sales and administration of general insurance and non-investment life insurance contracts. This will have an impact on insurers, intermediaries and everybody else involved in the sale or ongoing administration of these policies.
CMS Cameron McKenna is holding a series of surgeries to keep you up to date with the latest developments in this area and to help you prepare for the new regulatory regime.
This is a reminder that the next surgeries in this series will take place as follows:
Retail Insurance
Tuesday 14 January 2003, 8.30 a.m. (breakfast and registration for a 9.00 a.m. start) at Mitre House, 160 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4DD.
London Market
Tuesday 21 January 2003, 8.30 a.m. (breakfast and registration for a 9.00 a.m. start) at 107 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 5JF.
The surgeries will last no more than 1.5 hours which will include 30 minutes for questions and discussion. We will focus on the FSA consultation paper and how its proposals are likely to affect your business. CPD points will be available. You will also have the opportunity to spend 20 minutes, free of charge, with one of our lawyers to discuss regulatory issues specific to your business.
How to register
If you would like to attend any of the surgeries, and have not already registered, please send an e-mail to [email protected] including your full details and the dates you would like to attend. Please also let us know if you wish to spend 20 minutes with one of our lawyers after the surgery. Should you have any queries, please telephone Jennifer on 020 7367 2315.
All surgeries are free of charge and you are welcome to extend this invitation to your colleagues, simply advise us of their details.
