United Kingdom

Speaking at a recent conference, the OFT's director of cartel investigations, Simon Williams, confirmed that the OFT has secured a reliable informant within the construction industry who has already provided information concerning hundreds of contracts and numerous companies. Mr Williams confirmed that "we anticipate significant enforcement action in parts of the UK construction area" and he also confirmed that there was "potential" for criminal prosecution.
