The tracker: status of Public Bills before the UK Parliament - December 2006

United Kingdom

The tracker is a guide to the progress of Bills going through the UK Parliament that affect commercial organisations. It also lists some Statutory Instruments.

It is designed for people who need to spot "horizon-risk" for their company.

This month it features the wealth of bills and proposed bills introduced in the four weeks following The Queen's Speech on 15 November.

Key points to note:

  • The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Bill has been carried over from the last session
  • The Corruption Bill introduced to the House of Lords on 29 November
  • The Legal Services Bill and the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Bill, both of which are racing through the Parliamentary process.
