Ukraine: management change for Euro 2012 Football Championship

Ukraine

On 19 November 2009, the National Agency set up to prepare for and host the Euro 2012 football finals was liquidated by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Coordination Bureau has been set up to take over its responsibilities, and will operate under the auspices of the Cabinet of Ministers.

This step was taken to speed up preparations for Euro 2012 in response to concern expressed by UEFA.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Ivan Vasyunyk, will now represent the Cabinet of Ministers at UEFA meetings and will oversee both the preparations for and running of Euro 2012 in Ukraine.

Law: Resolution No. 1021 "On Measures regarding Improvement of the Management System of Preparation and Conducting of the Final Part of the European Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine".
