Reflection required following responses to public procurement Green Paper

United KingdomScotland

Earlier this month, the UK Government’s Cabinet Office closed its consultation on the Green Paper: Transforming public procurement, which set out proposed amendments to public procurement rules following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.

There has been significant interest in the proposals and the policy objective of creating a “progressive, modern regime which can adapt to the fast moving environment in which business operates”.

The Green Paper proposes far-reaching reforms to the current rules, including integrating the current EU-derived suite of regulations into a single, uniform framework of simplified rules. Please see here.

CMS has submitted its own response to the Green Paper, which can be found here.
