    China has ac­ce­ded to the Hague Con­ven­tion of 5 Oc­to­ber 1961 Abo­li­shing the Re­qui­re­ment of Le­ga­li­sa­tion for Fo­reign Pu­blic Do­cu­ments

    On 8 March 2023, the People's Republic of China (the "PRC") has (finally!) acceded to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (the "Convention").The Convention between the PRC, as the acceding state, and other member states (which will not have raised an objection; see below) will enter into force as of 7 November 2023.This constitutes a long-awaited and very positive development.Please click here to read the full article.

    The Scot­tish Go­vern­ment Draft Long-Term Plan for Ves­sels and Ports - Con­sul­ta­tion

    The Scottish Government has published a draft Long-Term plan for vessels and ports on the Clyde & Hebrides (CHFS) and Northern Isles (NIFS) networks (2023 – 2045). This is the first element of its Islands Connectivity Plan (ICP) which is proposed to replace the Scottish Ferries Plan (which has set out the framework for Scotland’s ferry services since 2013).     Ul­tra-Low Emis­sion Zone to co­ver Grea­ter Lon­don from Au­gust 2023

    On 25 November 2022, the Mayor of London announced plans to expand the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (“ULEZ”) in order to better tackle air pollution (the “ULEZ Expansion”).
