Blacklisting - the new law

The Employment Relations Act 1999 (Blacklists) Regulations 2010 came into force on 2 March 2010. They introduce a general prohibition on blacklisting on the basis of trade union activities or membership, subject to limited exceptions. The regulations also create rights for workers not to be subjected to detriment or dismissal for a reason connected to a blacklist.
