Climate Change: Paris (COP21): Expert Commentary

With the countdown well underway to the start of the twenty-first session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris on 30 November 2015, anticipation is growing around the potential for a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions so as to prevent average global temperatures rising above 2 degrees Celsius.

In readiness for the Paris negotiations, CMS has launched a dedicated page on the COP 21 meeting, delivering focused expert commentary on key legal issues to be discussed at the Climate Change conference. This site will be updated in the run up to the conference and you can follow the latest selected developments with us on Twitter @CMS_law and connect with this and other Energy sector news on LinkedIn. Following the outcome in Paris we will be providing analysis on the content of any agreement (if any) that is reached together with our thoughts on opportunities and issues arising for all sectors and their investors, whatever the outcome.
