    On 8 March 2023, the People's Republic of China (the "PRC") has (finally!) acceded to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (the "Convention").The Convention between the PRC, as the acceding state, and other member states (which will not have raised an objection; see below) will enter into force as of 7 November 2023.This constitutes a long-awaited and very positive development.Please click here to read the full article.

    New EU sanc­tions against Rus­sia

    On 25 February 2023, one year after Russia started its invasion of Ukraine, the EU adopted its tenth sanctions package against Russia.     Fresh UK sanctions regulations have been introduced imposing further restrictions on doing business with Russia in light of Russia’s recent annexation of four Ukrainian regions.     Di­gi­tal Mar­kets Act (DMA) co­mes in­to force on 1 No­vem­ber 2022

    The Digital Market Act (DMA) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 12 October, and it will enter into force on 1 November. Large digital platforms that offer core platform services as "gatekeepers" will thus be subject to far-reaching regulatory measures by the European Commission.
